Bengaluru : The Kannada situation in Karnataka is still unstable due to the lack of proper implementation of the Kannada Language Comprehensive Development Act. There is a growing fear that Kannada will face a setback day by day.
The state government has already ordered that 60 percent Kannada should be in the shop front boards. It has not been implemented properly. In the meantime, the state government has now issued a circular to use Kannada in full in all government departments.
Government Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh issued this important circular today (June 25) and has instructed to use Kannada compulsorily in the administration. Strictly warned that disciplinary action will be taken against those who violate the instructions.
