Mangaluru : The city is gearing up to host a grand ‘Harmony Christmas Celebration’ (Souharda Christmas Utsava) at Kadri Park on December 13 and 14. The event is being jointly organized under the auspices of the Saint Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike Mangaluru and the Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh.
Addressing the press at the Press Club, Roy Castelino, President of the Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike, provided details about the two-day event. The celebration is scheduled to run from 2:30 PM to 9:30 PM on both days. The core objective of the Harmony Christmas Celebration is to serve as a platform for promoting communal unity, peace, and brotherhood, emphasizing the belief that “Festivals of all religions should become festivals of all people.” The organizers aim to present a Christmas filled with exciting contests, delicious food, and attractive cultural diversity.
The festival will feature a variety of vibrant activities and competitions designed to engage attendees from all communities. Key attractions include Carol Singing competitions, Christmas Kale competitions, Christmas Cake competitions, and Christmas Star decoration contests. Additionally, the venue will host a Wine Mela and various food stalls, alongside formal public functions and diverse cultural programs. Other dignitaries present at the press meet included Santosh D’Souza (President, Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh), Snani Lobo (Event Convener), Snani Bantwal (Publicity Committee), Rehman Khan Kunjathbail, and Samarth Bhat.
