Udupi : In light of continuous heavy rainfall across Udupi district over the past few days and the latest weather forecasts, Deputy Commissioner Swaroopa T.K. has issued an order declaring a holiday for all schools and Pre-University (PU) colleges on Saturday, July 25, as a precautionary measure to ensure student safety.
According to the directive, the holiday applies to all Anganwadi centers, government, aided, and private primary and high schools, as well as PU colleges, diploma institutions, and ITIs across the district.
In view of the prevailing weather conditions, the district administration has advised the public and students to refrain from visiting rivers, streams, water bodies, and coastal areas. Parents have also been urged to exercise extra caution regarding the safety of their children during this period.
