Mangaluru : On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Mangaluru East Police Station organized an awareness program at the Government ITI Institute in Kadri Hills on Friday. Addressing the gathering, Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Pratibha stressed that building a drug-free society must be everyone’s solemn commitment, emphasizing the urgent necessity to spread continuous awareness among the youth to counter the drug menace.
Presiding over the function, the Principal of the institute, Satisha A.S., highlighted that overcoming substance addiction requires strong willpower, noting that an individual must make a conscious personal decision to break free from dependencies and lead a healthy life. The event witnessed active participation from college officials, police personnel, and student representatives, reinforcing a collaborative effort toward youth empowerment and social welfare.
Prominent attendees at the event included Woman Head Constable (WHC) Chandralekha, Vice Principal Ramesh Naik, Administrative Officer Pratima M, In-charge Training Officer Alexander C.J., Swarnagowri, Ravi K., along with Student Union Vice President Nandan, Secretary Srijan, Sports Secretary Nootan, and Cultural Secretary Akshay. Junior Training Officer Purushottama L. Acharya compered the program smoothly.
