Kasaragod : DC Arjun Pandian has issued an order declaring a holiday for all educational institutions across the district on Friday, July 31, as a precautionary measure in view of relentless heavy rainfall. The decision comes following an ‘Orange Alert’ issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting heavy rain in the region.
According to the order issued by the District Collector, the holiday mandatorily applies to all professional colleges, general degree colleges, CBSE and ICSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, tuition centers, Anganwadis, and religious institutions including Madrasas. However, residential schools will function normally. The district administration has clarified that all previously scheduled university examinations, public exams, and job interviews will proceed without any changes as per the set schedule.
