Mangaluru : Former Union Minister and the architect of the Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple’s renovation, B. Janardhana Poojary, officially released the invitation card for the world-famous Mangaluru Dasara festival at the temple premises on Thursday. The grand celebration is scheduled to take place from October 11 to October 21. During the ceremony, temple management committee members and dignitaries gathered to mark the formal inauguration of the festival preparations.
In conjunction with the invitation release, traditional Vedic rituals were conducted to mark the ‘Muhurtham’ for constructing the grand Durbar Mantapa. This majestic stage will house the idols of Goddess Sharada and the Navadurgas throughout the eleven-day festival. Prominent figures present during these auspicious events included Temple President Jairaj H. Somasundaram, Treasurer Padmaraj R. Poojary, Trustee Kishore Dandekeri, Development Committee Vice-President Dr. B.G. Suvarna, alongside members Radhakrishna Urwa, P.K. Gauravi Rajashekar, Latheesh Suvarna, entrepreneur Praveen Kumar, National Billava Maha Mandala Treasurer Yogish Kotian, Kadri Temple Trustee Rajendra Chilimbi, Raviraj, Subhash Bhandari, and Chandrashekhar Suvarna of Mulki Suvarna Arts.
