Mangaluru : The premises of MCC Bank Ltd. were brilliantly illuminated on October 21st as the Bank family, including staff, customers, and their families, gathered at the Administrative Office in Mangalore to celebrate Deepavali 2025. The festival of lights was marked by a vibrant atmosphere of unity, culture, and great enthusiasm.
The event, which was also celebrated simultaneously across all MCC Bank branches in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, was presided over by Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank.
The celebration was graced by two esteemed chief guests from the police department: Mr. Prathap Singh Thorat, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mangaluru Central Sub-Division, and Ms. Nazma Farooq, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mangaluru City Traffic Division.
The evening began auspiciously with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Chief Guest Ms. Nazma Farooq and Chairman Shri Anil Lobo, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and the triumph of goodness. Customers participated in the ritual by lighting their own diyas from the main ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the spread of positivity throughout the community.
In his presidential address, Chairman Shri Anil Lobo welcomed the attendees, stating that Deepavali is a celebration of “unity, gratitude, and renewal.” He underscored the bank’s identity as a community bank that proudly extends its services to people of all communities, embracing inclusivity and diversity. He concluded by wishing everyone a joyous and prosperous Deepavali.
Chief Guest Ms. Nazma Farooq expressed her delight at the bank’s festivities. She commended the bank’s leadership, noting that she has “always heard only good things about MCC Bank” from the public. Ms. Farooq used the platform to also address the importance of traffic discipline and safety, urging citizens to be responsible road users to make Mangaluru safer.
Mr. Prathap Singh Thorat conveyed warm Deepavali greetings, lauding MCC Bank for its steadfast commitment to ethical banking, community service, and financial integrity.
The function was compered, welcomed, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Alwyn Dsouza, Accountant, Founders Branch. The collective presence of the Board of Directors, General Manager, staff, and customers added significantly to the festive spirit, reflecting the collective strength and values that define MCC Bank.
