Mangaluru : Financial assistance totaling ₹8,64,694 has been sanctioned and directly credited to the accounts of seven beneficiaries suffering from various medical ailments, following the recommendation of MLC Ivan D’Souza through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The relief sanction letters were officially handed over to the recipients at the MLC’s office located inside the Mangaluru City Corporation premise.
Among the beneficiaries, Smt. Maria Teresa D’Souza and Sri Naveen Kotian Boloor received ₹2.00 lakh each, while Smt. Sajia Mamtaz Kannur was allocated ₹1,92,770. Additionally, Sri Ummar Farooq Puttur received ₹1,09,700, Smt. Hemalatha Kinnigoli was granted ₹27,741, Smt. Jameela Kannur received ₹19,324, Sri Krithin G. Shetty was handed ₹8,262, and Smt. Shakeena Bhanu Kannur received ₹6,897. Prominent leaders including Mangaluru City Block Congress President Prakash Salian, former corporators J. Nagendra Kumar, Bhaskar Rao, and Satish Pengal, along with Congress leaders Amrith Kadri, Meena Tellis, and Imran A.R., were present during the event.
