Kasaragod : In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, Nitin Raj P has been officially designated as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) for Kasaragod district. Prior to this new assignment, the officer was serving as the Police Commissioner of Kannur City.
As part of the same administrative order, the incumbent Kasaragod SP, Bijoy Bharat Reddy, has been transferred to take over the position of Kannur City Police Commissioner, effectively swapping roles with the incoming chief.
Hailing natively from Ravaneshwar in Kasaragod district, Nitin Raj is a well-regarded Kerala-cadre IPS officer. A meritorious achiever from the 2019 batch, he had secured an impressive 210th rank in the prestigious 2018 Civil Services Examination before embarking on his career in policing.
