NSG Conducts Anti-Terror Mock Drill in Mangaluru: Low-Flying Helicopter Sparks Brief Panic

Mangaluru : The National Security Guard (NSG) carried out an anti-terror mock exercise across key parts of Dakshina Kannada district to assess operational preparedness. As part of this exercise on Thursday morning, a helicopter was seen flying at a very low altitude over the port city of Mangaluru, causing sudden surprise among local residents.

The loud noise and low-altitude flight over prominent residential and commercial areas triggered widespread curiosity and mild anxiety among citizens, with many initially unaware of the ongoing drill.

Clearing the air, senior police officials stated that the flight operations were strictly part of a planned NSG mock drill designed to evaluate emergency response capabilities. Officials assured the public that there was no cause for alarm and urged citizens not to pay heed to any rumors.
