Renowned Author and Orator Reshel Fernandes Joins Indian National Congress

Mangaluru : In a significant political development, young author and acclaimed orator Ms. Reshel Bretny Fernandes from Mangaluru has officially joined the Indian National Congress. Reshel is a highly dynamic writer and speaker who has garnered immense recognition at international, national, and state levels. Among her most prominent accolades are the prestigious Kittur Rani Chennamma State Award, the National Icon Award presented at the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, the Desh Ratna Award conferred at Bharat Mandapam, and the J Maurus Lifetime Award. As a prolific writer, she has authored five books, with notable titles including Bharat at 2047: Role of Youth, Surajya: Good Governance Wheel of Democracy, Essays on Collective Topics, Light of Education Brightens World, Environment: Bond of Coexistence, and Voice of Nation: Youth and Politics.

Beyond her literary achievements, Reshel has been an active volunteer with prominent organizations such as Disha Bharat and Samartha Bharata Thinkers Forum Karnataka. She is also an international member of DRDC Global and has received multiple global awards for her contributions. Her vast achievements and intellectual work have been widely appreciated by top national dignitaries, including the President of India, the Vice President, the Prime Minister, and various union ministers. Aligning her vision with the grand old party, Reshel stated that her primary focus areas within politics will be youth empowerment, women’s development, and actively tackling 21st-century socio-economic challenges.

The formal induction ceremony took place in the presence of senior party leaders. Reshel was welcomed into the party fold by Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee President and former MLC Sri Harish Kumar, alongside Smt. Appi, General Secretary of the Karnataka Mahila Congress. Prominent party office-bearers including Mrs. Shantala and Mrs. Vijayalakshmi were also present on the occasion to welcome the young leader into the Indian National Congress.
