Mangaluru : Upon receiving news of the tragic accident in Barimar, Bantwal—where a massive tree collapsed onto a school bus—Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu immediately contacted district administration officials, health department authorities, and doctors right from an ongoing Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Committee meeting at the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in Bengaluru to ensure urgent medical care for the injured children. Immediately after concluding the meeting, the MLA flew back from Bengaluru directly to Mangaluru to oversee the situation personally.
Arriving in Mangaluru, MLA Rajesh Naik visited A.J. Hospital to inquire about the health of LKG student Anvi, who sustained serious injuries in the mishap and is currently undergoing treatment. He obtained a detailed status report from the attending doctors and strictly instructed the medical team to ensure there are no delays or deficiencies in providing top-quality treatment. Praying for Anvi’s swift recovery, he assured her family members that all necessary assistance and support would be extended for her treatment.
The MLA also gathered details regarding the health conditions of Preethi Rai and the school bus driver, both of whom were injured in the incident, assuring that he would continuously monitor the treatment provided to all victims. Expressing deep condolences over the tragic demise of LKG student Chiranvi in the same accident, Rajesh Naik shared his grief with the bereaved family and stated that he remains in constant touch with the district administration to facilitate all required aid and support.
Emphasizing that the health and safety of the children remain his highest priority, the Bantwal MLA affirmed that he will personally stay updated on the progress of the injured students’ recovery until they are completely healed and discharged.
