Ujire : Under the ‘Jnanadeepa’ education program of the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, the Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, emphasized the importance of providing basic infrastructure such as classrooms, playgrounds, drinking water, and teaching materials to schools. He noted that a total of Rs. 47.69 crore has been spent on these developmental activities so far.
Distribution Drive: On Thursday, Dr. Heggade officially launched the distribution of 3,472 sets of desks and benches to 418 schools across Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, and Kolar districts. He highlighted that for the current academic year, the project has also appointed 1,074 honorary teachers to support educational needs in various regions.
Ongoing Commitment to Education: Providing further details, Dr. Heggade stated that the SKDRDP has distributed a total of 75,518 sets of desks and benches to 11,621 schools across the state to date, with a dedicated investment of Rs. 28.55 crore. The event was attended by Hemavathi V. Heggade, D. Surendra Kumar, Shraddha Amit, Amit, and Kumari Manya. Anil Kumar, the Executive Director of SKDRDP, provided detailed insights into the project’s execution.
