Mangaluru : The city police have made one more arrest in the Hindutva activist and murder-accused Suhas Shetty’s murder case. He was killed near Bajpe on the city outskirts of Mangaluru on May 1.
The police stated on Tuesday that they had arrested Abul Razak, 59, of Shantigudde. Razak lived in an apartment at Kenjar, near Bajpe. He was charged with the crime of joining another person in hatching a conspiracy for the murder of Shetty and helping the latter go into hiding after the murder, said the police.
According to the police, Razak was charged with the crime of assisting his son, Mohammad Muzamil, and son-in-law, Noushad Vamanjoor alias Chotte Noushad, both prime accused in the case, in hatching the conspiracy at his house.
The search is on for the other accused in the case, a police release stated. With the latest arrest, a total of 12 persons have been held so far in the case.
