Mangaluru : Troubles have mounted for suspended Moodabidri Police Inspector Sandesh P.G. as a fresh case of rape has been registered against him at the Venur Police Station. The inspector, who was recently placed under suspension following the viral spread of audio and video clips allegedly showing inappropriate behavior with women, now faces serious criminal charges filed by a school teacher. Based on the victim’s formal complaint, the Venur police have officially registered an FIR against the embattled officer.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, a resident of Belthangady taluk and a headmistress at a private educational institution, the alleged crimes took place between 2018 and 2023. She has accused Inspector Sandesh P.G. of repeatedly visiting her residence and forcing himself upon her during this period. The victim approached the Venur station on the evening of March 21 to detail the years of alleged abuse and intimidation she endured.
Acting on the complaint, the Venur police have booked Inspector Sandesh P.G. under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 376(2)(a)(1) (rape by a police officer), 376(2)(n) (repeated rape on the same woman), 384 (extortion), and 506 (criminal intimidation). A thorough investigation into these grave allegations is currently underway as the department faces further scrutiny over the officer’s conduct.
