Udupi : The Udupi district administration has initiated urgent measures to gather information and ensure the safe retrieval of tourists and pilgrims from Udupi currently stranded near the Nepal-Tibet border, following severe sudden flash floods and massive landslides in the region.
To assist anxious family members, a dedicated round-the-clock district-level emergency control room has been operationalized. The district administration has requested relatives to immediately share the vital details of affected individuals, including their full name, home address, exact current location, contact number, and specific emergency needs.
Concerned family members can report the required details by dialing the toll-free helpline 1077, contacting the landline number 0820-2574802, or filling out the official Google Form released by the State Disaster Management Authority, according to an official press release from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
