Mangaluru : A tragic accident occurred on the Petri-Madi road in Cherkadi village, Udupi, on December 10th at approximately 7:00 AM, resulting in the death of the tipper driver. The incident happened when the tipper, after hitting a pothole on the road, lost control and crashed into a tree.
The deceased has been identified as the tipper driver, Srikanth (26). The vehicle belonged to Ranjan Shetty of Nittur, and Srikanth was en route from Nittur to load gravel when the accident took place.
According to reports, as the tipper was navigating a turn on the Petri-Madi road in Cherkadi village, it fell into a pothole, causing the driver to lose control. The uncontrolled vehicle then veered towards the right side of the road and collided with a large tree.
The impact of the collision was severe, completely wrecking the front portion of the vehicle. Srikanth was trapped in the driver’s seat and suffered fatal injuries, resulting in his death at the scene.
A case has been registered regarding this incident at the Brahmavar Police Station.
