Ullal : A major breakthrough has been achieved by the Ullal police in the sensational Kotekar Agricultural Service Co-operative Bank robbery case, which took place at its KC Road branch on January 6, 2025. Following a relentless manhunt, a special police team successfully tracked down and arrested a notorious accused who had been evading the law ever since the daring heist.
The captured fugitive has been identified as 34-year-old Dharm Beer Birendra Singh, who used multiple aliases including Dharmveer Singh, Manoj Jeet Lal Verma, Dharm, Master, and Kallu. Originally hailing from Datha Vuli Chowki under the Lalavuli police station limits in the Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, the accused had fled the region soon after committing the crime to escape the police dragnet.
To capture the suspects involved in this high-profile dacoity, a dedicated special police squad was formed. Based on precise intelligence and relentless tracking, the investigative team cornered and apprehended Singh near the Panvel Railway Station in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Following his arrest in Mumbai, the accused was brought back to the Ullal police station for interrogation and subsequently produced before the magistrate. The court has remanded the accused to judicial custody as the police continue their search for the remaining accomplices linked to the bank robbery.
