Udupi: A disturbing incident was reported on December 12th when the skeletal remains of an unidentified male were discovered in a bush along the National Highway within the Ambalpady limits. The discovery has prompted a police investigation to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
Upon receiving information about the grim finding, social worker Vishwa Shetty immediately mobilized support. With the assistance of Ambalpady police personnel and Ramdas Palan of Udyavara, Shetty arranged for the skeletal remains to be transported to the district hospital’s mortuary for further examination. Following the procedure, Vishwa Shetty officially lodged a complaint at the Udupi City Police Station, leading to the registration of a case.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the individual may have been deceased for a considerable period before the remains were discovered. Authorities are now focusing on identifying the deceased. Police officials have appealed to the public for assistance, emphasizing the significance of the clothing found at the scene—a pant and a shirt. The police have requested that if anyone recognizes the deceased based on these items, they should immediately contact the Udupi City Police Station.
The exact cause of the individual’s death remains unknown and will be determined only after a thorough police investigation and the official medical (forensic) examination report. The Udupi City Police have registered the case and are continuing their probe into the mysterious discovery.
