Mangaluru: The Union Home Ministry has handed over the probe related to the murder of Hindu activist and rowdy sheeter Suhas Shetty, to National Investigation Agency (NIA).
An order dated June 7, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been reposted by Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha MP Capt Brijesh Chowta on social media platform ‘X’, on Sunday. The MP has thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Shetty was hacked to death by a gang of assailants with sharp edged weapons, at Kinnipadavu in Bajpe, Mangaluru on May 1.
CCB, Mangaluru has arrested 12 accused in connection with the case.
