Mangaluru : The Gowd Saraswat Brahman (GSB) Seva Sangh, Mangaluru, in collaboration with Sri Narayani Sangeeth Kala Kendra, is set to host ‘Vasantha Sangeetotsava,’ a grand musical celebration, on Sunday, March 15, 2026. This cultural extravaganza will be held at the Sujir C. V. Nayak Hall, Kadri, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event is curated to celebrate the vibrant spirit of the spring season and pay homage to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of fine arts, through a series of soul-stirring classical performances by a new generation of gifted artists.
The musical evening promises an enriching experience with Hindustani Vocal recitals by Vidushi Nandita Pai, Vibha Nayak, Shantheri Kamath, and Vidushi Megha Pai. Adding a melodic breeze to the program, P. Karthik Bhat will perform a Bansuri (flute) recital. These young maestros will be ably supported by Shrivatsa Bhat and Rajesh Bhagwat on the Tabla, and Medha Bhat and Hemanth Bhagawat on the Harmonium. A special highlight of this year’s festival is the inclusion of unique Konkani compositions set to traditional classical Raagas. Furthermore, Dr. Kasturi Mohan Pai, President of the GSB Seva Sangh, will grace the stage as a guest artist.
The GSB Seva Sangh, established in 1939, continues its eight-decade legacy of community service and cultural promotion through this initiative. Supported by prominent sponsors including NKGSB Bank, Ideal Ice-cream, Union Bank, School Book Company, and Bharath Group, the event aims to provide a platform for budding artists while fostering a love for classical music among the public. The organizers, including Dr. Ramesh Pai A., Kumble Narsimha Prabhu, and others, have warmly invited music enthusiasts and members of the press to attend and encourage the performers.
