Puttur : In a bid to instill confidence and a sense of security among the public, the Puttur Town Police conducted a comprehensive flag march across key areas of the town. While most commercial establishments routinely remain closed on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, police officials explicitly clarified that strict security arrangements are in place to prevent anyone from forcibly shutting down shops or businesses.
Addressing recent public concerns, the police department debunked rumors alleging laxity in handling a recent altercation in Puttur. Officials clarified that a case was registered suo motu immediately following the incident, and formal legal notices were dispatched to the individuals involved. Reiterating their commitment to impartial law enforcement, the department emphasized that action is taken strictly according to the law without bias toward caste, religion, or political influence, inviting citizens to approach the department directly for any necessary clarifications.
To ensure peace and order during the festival, the police department deployed a robust security force across the Puttur Town Police Station limits. The security setup includes an Additional Superintendent of Police, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, 8 Police Sub-Inspectors, 10 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 50 police personnel, 5 KSRP platoons, 3 DAR platoons, and 1 SF platoon to maintain vigilance throughout the area.
