Uppinangady : A crocodile was sighted on the banks of the Kumaradhara river near Nekkilady in Uppinangady on Wednesday evening.
As crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the reptile, it reportedly opened its mouth aggressively and retreated into the river water.
The crocodile was first spotted resting near the riverbank close to a local resident, Sheikh Haji. Children noticed the reptile from a distance and alerted the locals. When people approached the spot, the crocodile displayed aggressive behaviour by opening its mouth and then disappeared back into the river.
