Case registered against Girish Mattannavar and Mahesh Shetty Timarodi at Belthangady police station

Belthangady: A case has been registered at Belthangady police station against Girish Mattannavar for posting a video on the social networking site Facebook in a manner that incites people to commit criminal acts, is obscene and causes annoyance to the public.

A complaint was filed by Charan Shetty, a resident of Belthangady, in this regard, and a case has been registered at Belthangady police station under sections 57, 296, and 190 BNS 2023.

A case has been registered against Maheshshetty Timarodi at Belthangady police station under 353(2), BNS for spreading statements on YouTube that create enmity between people and create fear of danger among the public, the police said.
