Udupi: Ganesh Devadiga Marpalli (51), a Physical Education Teacher at Malpe Narayana Guru School and a former member of the Alevoor Gram Panchayat, passed away on Wednesday morning after suffering a sudden heart attack while on duty.
Sudden Collapse at School
Ganesh arrived at the school as usual for his duties. However, during working hours, he suddenly collapsed after experiencing chest pain. He was immediately rushed to Manipal Hospital, where doctors attempted resuscitation. Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead.
Public and Community Figure
A resident of Marpalli, Ganesh Devadiga was a well-known figure in the area. Beyond his role as an educator, he had served as a former member of the Alevoor Gram Panchayat. He was also highly regarded for his active involvement in local activities, including various friends’ associations, Bhajana Mandali (devotional groups), and the Gaddige Ammanavara Committee.
He is survived by his wife and two children. His sudden demise has led to an outpouring of grief from his school staff, villagers, and friends.
