Mangaluru : The Mangaluru City Police have intensified their efforts to apprehend Samir, a key accused in the attempted murder case of ASI Aithappa. Police Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Reddy announced that a Red Corner Notice has been officially issued against Samir, who is currently believed to be hiding in a foreign country. This international alert aims to track and extradite the fugitive to face trial in India.
Samir is a habitual offender with a serious criminal record, having 14 different cases registered against him, including a grave charge of gang rape. Given his history and the severity of the crimes, the police are utilizing all diplomatic and investigative channels to locate him. Commissioner Reddy has appealed to the public to provide any credible information regarding Samir’s whereabouts to the authorities immediately.
This move follows a similar successful legal strategy used by the Mangaluru police in the past. The Commissioner noted that a Red Corner Notice was previously issued against another accused, Safwan, which led to significant progress in legal proceedings. The department remains committed to bringing criminals who flee the country to justice through these stringent international protocols.
