Bantwal : In a daring daylight robbery, a bike rider was intercepted and robbed of over ₹8 lakh in broad daylight at Mulkaje Mada in rural Bantwal on Thursday. The victim, Identified as Mayyadi, a resident of Surathkal, was returning on his motorcycle after collecting payments from various shops for wholesale cement supplies. According to reports, four unidentified miscreants riding two motorcycles blocked his path, brandished a sword to threaten him, and forcibly snatched his bag containing the cash before fleeing the scene.
