Mangaluru : In a significant milestone for the coastal region, the State Cabinet meeting is set to take place on the second floor of the newly constructed Praja Saudha (Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex) in Mangaluru. Speaker U. T. Khader expressed immense happiness over this event, stating that it fulfills a long-standing aspiration of the people of Dakshina Kannada. He highlighted that when requesting the leadership to hold a cabinet meeting outside Bengaluru, he urged that Coastal Karnataka be given the first priority. Fulfilling their promise, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar have organized this historic session, which aims to address key developmental concerns for both Tulu Nadu and the overall progress of Karnataka.
To mark the occasion, grand arrangements have been made to welcome the Chief Minister and Cabinet members at Pumpwell. Plans are in place for the delegation to travel together in an open-top bus starting from the iconic Kadri Temple to the venue. The guests will also be treated to authentic coastal and Tuluva delicacies during their visit. Addressing the protest calls by BJP over prison jammer issues, Khader clarified that the jammer concern is not a new problem and urged the opposition to withdraw their stir. He emphasized that threatening to lay siege to visiting state dignitaries goes against the hospitable culture of the coastal region and called upon everyone to welcome the Cabinet with affection and respect.
