Kadaba : In a shocking and tragic incident reported on Saturday afternoon, a man allegedly murdered his wife before ending his own life by hanging. The distressing event took place at Kaje in Alankaru, which comes under the jurisdiction of the Kadaba police station limits.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Dinesh, originally from Bajagoli, and his wife Sangeetha, a native of Siddakatte. The couple had previously been running a local eatery (hotel) in Alankaru town and was residing in a rented house along with their two-year-old daughter.
According to local sources, the couple had shut down their hotel business about a month ago and moved away from Alankaru. However, they returned to their rented house in Alankaru Kaje on the evening of Friday, June 19. The tragedy came to light on Saturday, June 20, when both were found dead inside the house, which was locked from the inside.
The incident left their innocent two-year-old baby girl stranded alone with the bodies inside the locked room. Neighbors noted that the toddler had been crying continuously out of distress before eventually falling back asleep due to exhaustion. Upon receiving the information, Kadaba Police Sub-Inspector Jamburaj and his team rushed to the spot to conduct a thorough investigation and initiate further legal proceedings.
