Mangaluru : Karavali Toastmasters Club, the first trilingual Toastmasters club in the region promoting communication and leadership in English, Kannada and Tulu, installed its new office-bearers for the year 2026–2027 at a function held at Lions Ashoka Seva Bhavana, Mangaluru, on 7 July 2026.
Area Director Fiona Pinto administered the oath of office to the new team led by President Anushree Shetty. The executive committee comprises Amlin Deepthi Roche (Vice-President–Education), Prashanth Shetty (Vice-President–Membership), Shreya V.M. (Vice-President–Public Relations), Radhika Shetty (Secretary), Raghavendra Mogaraya (Treasurer), Mohammed Issam (Sergeant-at-Arms) and Immediate Past President Sophia Zacharias.
CA Anwesh Shetty, Chartered Accountant and Managing Partner of Anwesh Shetty Chartered Accountants (ASCA), was the chief guest. In his address, he emphasised the importance of understanding the audience while preparing a speech. Citing practical examples, he encouraged members to tailor their message to suit their audience for effective communication.
The club also celebrated a significant milestone on the occasion by earning the Smedley Distinguished Club recognition for the Toastmasters year 2025–2026. Division Director Lyra Pinto inducted the new members and encouraged them to embark on a journey of communication, leadership and personal growth through Toastmasters.
Earlier, Amlin Deepthi Roche presented the annual report highlighting the club’s achievements during the past year. Praveen Udupa proposed the vote of thanks.
