Belthangady: A young woman, a resident of Kavala Mudur village in Bantwal taluk, went missing in 2012 after she did not return home, her brothers Nitin and Nitesh reached the Belthangady SIT office on Thursday and filed a complaint.
Speaking to the media after filing the complaint at the SIT office, Nitin said that no information has been received about his sister’s disappearance even after 13 years. He said that he came to the SIT office and filed a complaint after learning that the SIT team is now collecting information about the missing person.
In 2012, his 17-year-old sister Hemalatha had come to Dharmasthala with a woman from a nearby house. But she did not return. When the woman who took her was questioned about this, she replied that she did not come with me. We had filed a complaint with the Poonjalakatte police regarding this and they had accepted the complaint. They informed us that despite going to the police station several times and inquiring, no information was received.
