Mangaluru : In light of the nationwide medical bandh called on Wednesday, May 20, to protest against the online sale of medicines, the Assistant Drugs Controller has issued a statement assuring the public that alternative arrangements have been put in place. To ensure that citizens do not face any hardships, several medical stores and pharmacy chains across Dakshina Kannada district will function as usual to provide essential life-saving drugs and prescription medicines throughout the strike.
According to the official announcement, 38 outlets of Apollo Pharmacy, 48 outlets of MedPlus, and 130 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras will remain open across the region. Additionally, all hospital-attached pharmacies within Dakshina Kannada district will operate normally, allowing the public to purchase their required medicines without hindrance.
