Udupi : A rider had a miraculous escape after a moving electric scooter suddenly caught fire in the middle of the road in Udupi. The incident occurred while the rider was commuting, when flames abruptly began erupting from the vehicle. Reacting swiftly out of panic, the rider immediately brought the scooter to a halt, abandoned it on the road, and ran to safety, avoiding any injuries.
Following the sudden outburst of flames, alert local residents rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire by pouring water over the burning vehicle. The exact cause behind the battery or electrical failure that led to the fire is yet to be ascertained.
