Mangaluru : The Urwa Police have successfully apprehended a serial offender involved in numerous criminal cases across Karnataka and Kerala. The arrested individual has been identified as Mohammed Faizal alias “Thota Faizal” (40), a resident of Ullal. The arrest took place on Tuesday, August 18, in connection with a scooter theft incident reported within the Urwa police station limits.
According to police sources, the accused had stolen a two-wheeler parked outside a residence in Kodikal, Mangaluru, on July 24. Following the complaint, the police team diligently analyzed CCTV footage along the movement routes, which helped them identify the suspect’s physical description and track his movements. Based on these crucial leads, officers located both the culprit and the stolen scooter, recovering the vehicle intact.
A background check revealed that Mohammed Faizal is a habitual offender with over 40 criminal cases registered against him across multiple police stations in Karnataka and Kerala. The Commissioner of Police confirmed that pending cases and arrest warrants exist against him at various locations, including Bandar, Konaje, Ullal, Moodbidri, and Bantwal Rural stations in Mangaluru city, as well as Manipal station in Udupi district.
