Bantwal : A shocking incident has occurred in Ira village of Bantwal taluk, Dakshina Kannada, where a PUC student was brutally attacked with a sharp knife while she was waiting for a bus to go to college.
The accused has been identified as 28-year-old Javvar, who fled the scene immediately after the assault. Preliminary investigations suggest that the attack was motivated by issues related to a romantic relationship.
The student sustained serious injuries to her hand and suffered from severe bleeding, prompting local residents to rush her to the hospital for urgent medical attention. The bus stop was left covered in blood, causing widespread panic and concern among the local community.
It is noteworthy that both the accused and the victim are residents of Montimar Padpu in Bantwal.
Officers from the Bantwal Rural Police Station visited the crime scene to conduct an inspection. A case has been registered, and the police have launched a special operation to apprehend the absconding suspect.
