Puttur: Dakshina Kannada district BJP president Satish Kumpala has clarified the BJP’s stand regarding the case of a Krishna J Rao who got a young woman pregnant on the pretext of marriage and then went missing, saying that the district BJP will stand by the victim.
Speaking to the media, he said that we have investigated the incident that was unfair to the young woman. And the BJP stands by the young woman who was wronged.
MLA Ashok Kumar Rai has already held talks on this incident. The accused’s father P.G. Jagannivas had first brought this matter to the attention of the MLAs. The MLAs had promised to marry the victim to the young man. But later the victim’s mother also informed him that the young man was hesitant to get married. The BJP has nothing to do with this case, and the MLAs said that the BJP will support if the case is resolved.
Satish Kumpala said that the police should quickly arrest the accused youth in this case and bring him under the law.
