License mandatory for building construction: No facility if missing-MCC

Mangaluru : Before starting any kind of building construction work in the jurisdiction of Mangalore City Corporation, it is mandatory to obtain a building construction permit under the KMC Act. After obtaining the building permit, the building must be constructed as per the approved plan and the building must be used after obtaining the building entry permit.

As per the Supreme Court order, it has been stated that no service connections such as electricity connection, water supply, sewerage connection, trade license should be given to buildings that do not have a building entry permit.

Therefore, before constructing any kind of building in the jurisdiction of the City Corporation, it is mandatory to obtain a building permit and construct the building as per the approved plan. If missing, no service connections will be given and action will be taken against unauthorized construction under the KMC Act, the Mangaluru City Corporation, Commissioner said in a statement.
