Karkala : A tragic incident occurred in Karkala taluk on Wednesday, October 28, when an eighth-grade female student collapsed and passed away at the Morarji Desai Residential School in Miyar.
The deceased student has been identified as 13-year-old Meghana, originally hailing from Bagalkote.
According to school sources, Meghana fainted and collapsed suddenly around 6:00 AM on Wednesday morning. The attentive school staff immediately rushed her to the Karkala Government Hospital for urgent medical attention, where the attending doctors examined her and pronounced her brought dead.
Arrangements are being made to transfer the body of the deceased student to Manipal for a detailed post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
