Mumbai : A delegation of Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (NGO) led by its Founder Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty and State Coordinator K.P. Jagadish Adhikari met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, D.K. Shivakumar, at his office in Bengaluru at in the evening on June 4, 2026.
During the meeting, the delegation formally invited the Hon’ble Chief Minister to attend the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (R), scheduled to be held in August 2026, and requested him to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
D.K. Shivakumar warmly received the delegation and immediately accepted the invitation with a smile. He appreciated the remarkable and selfless service rendered by Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti over the past 25 years and complimented the organization for its dedicated efforts towards environmental protection, infrastructure development and public welfare in the undivided Dakshina Kannada region, including Udupi and Mangaluru districts.
Expressing his happiness, the Hon’ble Chief Minister stated that he was well aware of the Samiti’s contributions and said it would be his pleasure to participate in the Silver Jubilee celebrations.
After listening to the Chief Minister’s words of appreciation, the committee’s founder, Tonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty, expressed his gratitude with folded hands. Shetty’s request with a smile, patting the founder on the back and congratulating the committee with many kind and encouraging words the moment that was captured by the photographer.
For the last 25 years, Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti has worked tirelessly, honestly and selflessly for the development of the region. The Samiti has actively supported and advocated several landmark developmental initiatives, including environmental protection measures, industrial development, the extension of the runway and introduction of night landing facilities at Mangaluru Airport, implementation of the Nandikoor Thermal Power Project with advanced environmental safeguards, revival of the Mangaluru–Bengaluru Railway Line through conversion from metre gauge to broad gauge, widening and upgrading of the National Highway corridor from Mangaluru to Baindoor and the introduction of the Garib Rath train service between Mumbai and Mangaluru, among several other public-interest initiatives.
The Samiti acknowledges the support extended over the years by various public representatives, ministers, officials and social leaders who contributed to these developmental efforts.
The Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Samiti in August 2026 will commemorate the organization’s 25 years of dedicated service to society, environmental conservation and regional development.
