Bengaluru : According to an official AICC press release, the Congress party has finalized its nominees for the upcoming biennial elections to the Legislative Council of Karnataka. Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge has formally approved the proposal for the candidature of four selected individuals to contest the prestigious elections, which will be voted on by the state’s Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs).
The official list released by the high command names senior leader Shri B.K. Hariprasad, Shri Tippannappa Kamaknoor, Shri P.V. Mohan, and Shri Shivanna Mallvalli as the chosen Congress candidates. This strategic selection highlights the party’s focus on reinforcing its strength and representing diverse leadership within the upper house of the Karnataka state legislature.
The formal announcement was authorized and issued on June 3, 2026, by Shri K.C. Venugopal, General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), from the party’s central headquarters at 24, Akbar Road, New Delhi, marked for immediate public notification.
