Udupi : The Government of India has nominated former Karnataka minister Pramod Madhwaraj as a member of the high-level committee constituted to commemorate the landmark 200th birth anniversary of the iconic social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. This prestigious committee has been established to plan and oversee nationwide programs that honor the legacy, monumental contributions, and enduring vision of the great reformer, who dedicated his life to social justice and education.
Expressing his deep gratitude in an official statement, Pramod Madhwaraj remarked that being entrusted with such a significant national responsibility is a matter of immense pride for him. He emphasized that this role is not just an honor but a profound commitment to effectively spreading Mahatma Jyotirao Phule’s progressive thoughts, ideals, and egalitarian values across various sections of modern society. He also extended his heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Ministry of Culture for providing him with this valuable opportunity to serve on the national panel.
