Odiyoor : The grand birthday celebrations, Gramotsava 2026, Guruvandana, and Seva Sambhrama of Paramapooja Sri Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji will be celebrated with religious and cultural fervour on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Odiyoor Sri Gurudeva Datta Samsthanam, Sri Dattanjaneya Kshetra, Dakshina Ganagapura in Bantwal Taluk. The day-long event will begin at 8:00 AM with Sri Ganapati Havana and Mahapooja, followed by Nama Sankeerthane by Sri Raviraj Odiyoor and team. The morning rituals will proceed with Padapooja, Tulabhara, and Guruvandana, concluding in the evening with Rangapooja, Special Silver Rathotsava Seva, and Mahapooja.
A formal stage program will be held at 11:30 AM in the presence of Sri Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji and Sadhvi Sri Sri Mathanandamayi. The event will feature prominent guests including Member of Parliament Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik U., Dr. K. Prakash Shetty of MRG Group, alongside several community leaders and office bearers. During the program, renowned environmentalist Dr. R.K. Nair (‘Green Hero of India’ from Gujarat) will be honored with a public felicitation.
In conjunction with Gramotsava 2026, the Odiyoor Grama Vikasa Yojana has organized multi-faceted community development activities across Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Kasaragod districts. These initiatives include sapling distribution under Vanamahotsava, financial assistance for meritorious students, medical aid for needy individuals, health check-ups, blood donation camps, anti-addiction awareness drives, and local sports and cultural events. The celebrations are supported by the Odiyoor Sri Swamiji Birthday Celebration Committee and the Odiyoor Sri Vividhoddesha Souharda Sahakari Sangha Niyamitha.
