Dharmasthala : The Hon’ble Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan, arrived at the holy town of Dharmasthala on Saturday evening via a special Indian Air Force helicopter. Upon his arrival at the Dharmasthala helipad, he was accorded a warm and respectful official welcome by dignitaries and top officials. On behalf of the Kshetra, D. Surendra Kumar, Vice President of SDM Educational Institutions, extended a cordial greeting to the esteemed guest. Member of Parliament Captain Brijesh Chowta and Member of Legislative Council K. Pratapasimha Nayak were also present at the helipad to receive the Vice President.
Following his arrival, the Vice President proceeded to the Sri Sannidhi Guest House, where he stayed for the night. On Sunday morning, he will visit the Lord Manjunatha Swamy temple to seek blessings and offer special prayers. His itinerary also includes a high-profile meeting with the Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade. Additionally, the Vice President is scheduled to inspect the mega Annapurna Dining Hall and the state-of-the-art Saannidhya Queue Complex to review the pilgrim amenities.
The highlight of the official visit will take place at 10:00 AM on Sunday, when Vice President Radhakrishnan will formally inaugurate the newly established ‘Siri Matrushree Industrial Park’. The grand inaugural ceremony is organized at the Amruthavarshini Hall, marking a significant milestone in the region’s rural industrialization and empowerment sectors.
