Belthangady : In a significant event held at the Amrutavarshini Hall in Dharmasthala, India’s Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan officially dedicated the Siri Matrushree Industrial Park to the nation. Built under the aegis of the holy town of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, this state-of-the-art industrial hub marks a major milestone in regional development.
Addressing the gathering after the inauguration, the Vice President highly commended the societal contributions of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala. He highlighted that organizations like Siri and RUDSET, functioning under the shrine’s guidance, are playing a transformative role by generating extensive employment opportunities in rural areas, which ultimately serves as a major catalyst for the country’s overall economic growth.
Presiding over the grand ceremony, the Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, shared the inspiring journey of their social initiatives. He noted that programs originally conceptualized to boost agriculture through rural development schemes have now diversified and scaled exponentially, positively impacting millions of lives. He emphasized that the Siri institution, in particular, has successfully provided a dignified livelihood to thousands of rural families.
The high-profile event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Governor of Karnataka, Thaawarchand Gehlot, who attended as the guest of honor.
Marking the historic milestone, the official nameplate of the Siri Matrushree Industrial Park was unveiled during the function. Alongside the launch of the park, the dignitaries also released the informative ‘Siri Product Catalogue’ booklet to the public.
A distinguished galaxy of leaders and dignitaries attended the event, including Member of Parliament Brijesh Chowta, Member of Legislative Council Pratap Simha Nayak, and the founder of Siri, Hemavathi V. Heggade. Other prominent figures on stage included Rajya Sabha Secretary K.S. Somashekar, Vice President of SDM Educational Institutions D. Surendra Kumar, as well as the directors, board members, and staff of the Siri management.
Earlier, K.N. Janardhan, the Managing Director of Siri Village Industries, warmly welcomed the gathering, while Professor Shridhar Bhat smoothly anchored the entire proceedings of the program.
Upon his arrival in the sacred town of Dharmasthala, Vice President Radhakrishnan visited the famous Sri Manjunatha Swamy Temple to seek the blessings of the presiding deity. Following his temple visit, he held a cordial meeting and discussed various matters with the Dharmadhikari, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade.
