Sullia : The world-renowned Kukke Subramanya Temple, located in Kadaba taluk and managed by the Karnataka Muzrai Department, has once again emerged as the highest revenue-generating temple in the state for the financial year 2025–26. By reporting a massive total income of ₹167.89 crore, the temple has secured its position as the number one Muzrai temple in Karnataka for the 15th year in a row, marking a significant milestone in its history.
According to official records, the temple earned a total revenue of ₹167,89,09,080.77 between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. During the same period, the temple’s expenditure stood at ₹85.20 crore. This year’s earnings show a substantial growth compared to the previous financial year, which saw an income of ₹155.95 crore, reflecting an increase of approximately ₹12 crore.
Temple authorities attributed this financial success to several key revenue streams, including special vow-based rituals and services, generous offerings from devotees, and hundi collections. Additionally, interest earned from various investments, rent from temple buildings and guest houses, and profits from the temple’s agricultural estates and plantations contributed significantly to the total tally. The consistent rise in income highlights the temple’s enduring popularity and the deep faith of pilgrims visiting from across the globe.
