Mangaluru : MCC Bank Ltd, which has completed 114 years of dedicated financial service, has recorded monumental growth across all key business parameters for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. Announcing the results at a press conference held at the bank’s head office, MCC Bank President Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo revealed that the bank has crossed a milestone business turnover of ₹1,535 Crore, registering an impressive growth of 22.89%. Backed by the strong support of its NRI clientele, the bank’s net worth also surged from ₹83.76 Crore to ₹91.80 Crore.
Operating under the vision of the current Board, MCC Bank has successfully expanded its operational footprint across Karnataka. The entire bank now functions seamlessly on advanced core banking technology, offering a diverse suite of financial products and services that easily compete with private and public sector banks. Since Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo and his team took charge in 2018, the institution has witnessed a remarkable transformation. Over this period, deposits skyrocketed by 188% from ₹304 Crore to ₹876 Crore, while loans and advances jumped by 243% from ₹191 Crore to ₹657 Crore. Additionally, the share capital grew by 161% to ₹34 Crore, and reserves witnessed a 193% rise, reaching ₹85 Crore.
The overall business turnover of the bank has shown an extraordinary 209% growth under the current management, rising from ₹496 Crore to ₹1,535 Crore. Key financial stability indicators have also strengthened, with the Capital to Risk-Weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR) improving from 11.70% to 16.55%, and the Return on Assets (ROA) increasing from 0.56% to 1.40%. Through strategic planning and the dedicated efforts of the management and staff, MCC Bank has strictly complied with all regulatory requirements of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Breaking a 22-year hiatus, the bank aggressively resumed its branch expansion by recently opening new branches in Brahmavar, Belthangady, Belman, Byndoor, and Santhekatte.
Furthering this momentum, President Anil Lobo announced the upcoming inauguration of two new branches. The 22nd branch will be opened at Deralakatte in Mangaluru on June 28, 2026, followed by the 23rd branch at Katapadi in Udupi on August 2, 2026. The Deralakatte branch inauguration ceremony will be presided over by Anil Lobo, with the premises being blessed by Fr Victor Dmello, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Panir. U.T. Khader, Karnataka Minister for Health and Family Welfare, will formally inaugurate the branch, while Sr Milly Fernandes, Superior General of the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation, will attend as the Chief Guest.
The grand event will also see Fr Nilesh Crasta (Administrator, Fr Muller Homeopathic College, Deralakatte), Smt Divya Sathish Shetty (President, Kotekar Town Panchayat), and C.M. Sattar (Former President, Belma Grama Panchayat) as Guests of Honour. Alongside the new branch, MCC Bank’s 16th ATM will be launched. Additionally, the bank has scheduled strategic relocations for three of its existing branches in 2026: the Morgansgate branch will shift on July 25, the Moodbidri branch on August 22, and the Karkal branch will move to its own building on August 26.
