Mangaluru : The New Mangalore Port Users Welfare Association elected a new team of office-bearers for the ensuing term at its Annual General Meeting held at the Senate Hall of Hotel Deepa Comforts, Mangaluru, on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
The newly elected office-bearers are P. K. S. Pillai of Delta Marine Services (President), Vinaya Kumar of Yojaka (India) Pvt. Ltd. (Vice-President), K. A. Ravi Kumar of Ocean Marine Supplies (Secretary), Mahesh K. S. (Joint Secretary) and Srinivasa Kulal (Treasurer). A 16-member executive committee was also constituted.
A founder member of the Association, P. K. S. Pillai, had earlier served as its Founder President for several years. In his acceptance speech, he thanked the members for reposing their confidence in him and assured them that he would strive for the growth of the Association and work for the welfare of port users.
Earlier, outgoing President Balakrishna Kottari welcomed the members at the meeting. Reflecting on his ten years of service as President of the Association, he thanked the members for their wholehearted cooperation, which contributed to the steady growth of the Association during his tenure. Secretary Nithyananda Pai presented the annual report, while Treasurer Ashwith presented the audited annual accounts for approval.
The election process was conducted by S. Shekhar Pujari, President of the Association of New Mangalore Port Stevedores. Outgoing Vice-President Prathap Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
