Udupi : A young saxophonist, Namratha Devadiga (22), a resident of Neelavara village in Brahmavar taluk, Udupi district, tragically passed away after consuming poison. She was pursuing higher education in Bengaluru when the incident occurred. Following the consumption of poison, she was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru for preliminary medical intervention before being transferred to a hospital in Manipal for advanced care. Despite intensive medical treatment, she breathed her last on Monday morning.
A formal case of suicide has been registered by the police, and an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the exact circumstances and reasons behind the decision. Further details are expected to emerge as the authorities complete their inquiry into the incident.
