Bengaluru : Home Minister Priyank Kharge, who has been firmly demanding details regarding the registration of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), hinted on Tuesday that legal action would be initiated against the organization if the relevant documents are not submitted. The Home Minister issued a stern warning, stating that he would proceed with legal measures if he does not receive a satisfactory response from the RSS regarding the letter he had sent previously.
Continuing his sharp critique against the century-old organization, the Home Minister mentioned that he has sought written clarification specifically concerning the registration status of the RSS. Clarifying that his inquiry was not a final ultimatum, he stated that the organization should be given an opportunity to respond and added that he is willing to wait patiently for their explanation.
Sarcastic about the delay, Kharge remarked that it has only been a week since he formally requested these details from them. He noted that since they claim to be patriots with a 100-year-old history, they must have safely kept their official records somewhere—whether at their headquarters in Nagpur, at ‘Keshav Shilpa’ in Bengaluru, or at the residence of the Sarasanghachalak. He added with a hint of irony that they naturally require some time to locate those historical documents.
